According to the latest analysis published from the Digital signage Business Climate Index (DBCI) from the Out of Home Video Advertising Bureau (OVAB Europe), the growth expectations of digital signage in Spain are positive. Anyway, the current real situation in Spain and Italy shows that the crisis is still holding back the hopes of companies in the sector in their projects. With respect to the second quarter of 2010 the drop in Spain is 7 points, which also indicates that despite the expectations of recent quarters and the push of the digital signage sector, the Spanish market is still in a complicated situation. The DBCI of OVAB Europe has as a general average in the Euro5 zone (Germany, United Kingdom, France, Italy and Spain) the 52 points, which means an increase in the forecasts of digital signage 9 points compared to the previous quarter (43 points, of a total that goes between -100 and +100). The most active markets are the German areas (Germany, Switzerland and Austria), followed by the United Kingdom and France. The DBCI of OVAB Europe, developed by Invidisconsulting, is carried out among the main companies dedicated to digital signage in European markets. In future editions it is likely to expand to Benelux and Scandinavia, as well as the MENA region, based on the number of companies operating in those regions.
