Mobile device management startup MokiMobility has developed the MokiTouch app, that allows the remote management of Android tablets for use as kiosks, digital signage and point-of-sale systems.

MokiMobility, cloud-based mobile device management provider for IOS and Android devices, has launched MokiTouch for Android tablets. Customizable browser app allows retailers, hotels and other businesses create kiosks using Android tablets and, below, unlike the rest of Android-based kiosks, remotely manage the application and the Android tablet itself, deleting default applications, reinforcing Wi-Fi settings and even restarting the device remotely.

The creation of kiosks, digital signage and point-of-sale systems – all currently dominated by the Windows operating system – has long been an activity of interest, but PCs, Laptops and touch interfaces best suited for these specific applications require very expensive development to adapt. According to the company, Android tablets represent an attractive alternative, proporcionando una experiencia interactiva y personalizable a un coste mucho más bajo.

Tom Karren, CEO of MokiMobility, has pointed out: “Android tablets continue to create new uses for innovative consumer technologies, saving costs and helping retailers, hoteliers and even doctors to better relate to their customers. The creation of kiosks and point-of-sale systems – and the ability to remotely manage these devices individually or in groups – will allow them to better engage customers, make capture sales and track a good portion of your business from the cloud.”

MokiTouch features include:
• Custom buttons – Merchants can define up to four custom buttons that appear at the bottom of the browser that point to any URL they specify. They act as useful bookmarks so that the user can go to any site or web page that merchants want them to see..
• Private information cleanup button – MokiTouch erases private data every time it is updated, wiping out all credentials and personal information that the previous user may have entered. Merchants can also activate a button that allows users to erase their data when they leave.. Although this button is redundant, as MokiTouch will automatically erase the data, helps users know they are protected and gives them control over what happens.
• Faster remote management – As soon as an administrator checks 'Save'’ in the updated kiosk settings within the MokiManage app management console, settings are sent directly to the device and merchants see live changes in just a couple of seconds. Each time the application starts, will continue to update with the MokiManage to ensure you have the latest settings.

MokiTouch is powered by MokiMobility's +MDM, offering remote application management and device management platform. MokiMobility provides the web-based DEVICE MANAGEMENT CONSOLE and APIs to enable remote management of iOS and Android devices. MokiTouch runs on Android tablets with Honeycomb and Ice Cream Sandwich.
