The company specialized in network video for professional installations, Axis Communications, has added to its product offering the new AXIS M3007-PV and AXIS M3007-P fixed fixed minidome network cameras and an improved version of AXIS Camera Management, a powerful and effective installation and management tool for the IP video products of this firm of Swedish origin.

Axis Communications has incorporated into its wide range of cameras new 360° fixed minidome with a 5 megapixels that allow detailed, high-quality 360° or 180° panoramic views of wide areas. AXIS M3007-PV and AXIS M3007-P Indoor Network Cameras Provide Retail Stores, Hotels, schools and offices cost-effective solutions for broad panoramas to help users detect activities and track the flow of people.

Erik Frännlid, Director of Product Management, Axis Communications, has indicated that “Axis' new 360° fixed cameras offer price-sensitive market segments the ability to use a single camera to get a great picture, with great details, at an affordable price. The cameras also have significant capability for intelligent video applications and support a wide range of video management software including the free AXIS Camera Companion.”

Cameras, which are the latest additions to AXIS M30 series, can be mounted on ceiling for 360° panorama or wall mount for 180° panoramic views. Both AXIS M3007-PV and AXIS M3007-P support various display modes, including 360° vision in a resolution of 5 megapixels, as well as horizontal panoramic views and quadrangular views that have been deformed for easy viewing. Quadrangular display mode is suitable, For example, when the camera is placed at a corridor intersection. Cameras also provide area display modes that allow users to scroll, tilt and zoom in on the camera digitally in the areas of interest. Multiple sequences in H.264 and Motion JPEG can be sent simultaneously.

AXIS M3007-PV – just like the newly launched AXIS M3006-V cameras, AXIS M3004-V and AXIS M3005-V M30 Series- is a vandal-proof and dust-resistant fixed dome camera. When local storage is used in conjunction with the free AXIS Camera Companion, users have an easy way to view and manage video up to 16 cameras per site.

AXIS M3007-PV and AXIS M3007-P cameras are also compatible with other video management software including AXIS Camera Station and third-party applications through the Axis Application Development Partner program. In addition, cameras support hosted video and ONVIF for easy camera system integration.

Enhanced Network Video Product Management Tool

Axis has also released an improved version of AXIS Camera Management, a powerful tool for installing and managing Axis network video products. The tool supports central management of Axis cameras in a single or multi-site system, enabling both easy application distribution for multiple cameras and efficient management of network video cameras for security installers and system administrators.

AXIS Camera Management is designed for efficient management of network video installations using Axis network video products. The tool can be scaled to handle thousands of Axis network cameras and video encoders and by deploying the tool across multiple sites, all cameras can be managed from a central location. Based on standard network protocols and methods and with an intuitive user interface, AXIS Camera Management permite a los instaladores y a los administradores configurar, easily maintain and update single or multiple video blocks.

Users can perform sequential or side-by-side firmware updates of multiple network video products.

In this new version, AXIS Camera Management also supports AXIS Camera Application Platform, an open application platform where applications developed by third parties can be easily installed and registered for select Axis network cameras and video servers.

AXIS Camera Management 3.10 replaces AXIS Camera Management 2.00. The tool is compatible with all Axis video products with firmware versions of 4.40 or higher.
