Crestron has announced the availability of the new control system of the series 3 CP3, A new unit that provides a powerful platform that simplifies design, AV integration and control, lighting, air conditioning, Energy management, BMS and all other systems connected in a building home automation system.

Crestron has brought to market the new generation of its series control system 3 CP3, developed by Core 3 YOU, offering a powerful platform that simplifies design, AV integration and control, lighting, air conditioning, Energy management, BMS and all other connected systems in commercial buildings, universities, schools, Homes and multi-campus environments.

With faster processing speed, More memory, High-efficiency multitasking capabilities, External storage options, integrated BACnet support and enhanced IP security, CP3 delivers exponential increases in control system performance for large commercial facilities, making it an essential component for any integrated building technology environment. At an affordable price, the CP3 is very versatile, making it ideal for advanced home control applications.

Robin van Meeuwen, Vice President of Sales and Marketing of Crestron International, has targeted: “The CP3 is more than just a new control system, is the future of networked control in buildings and the home. The new systems in the series 3 They are the backbone of the most powerful control network platform available today. Being up to 10 times faster than series processors 2, CP3 brings integrated technology to build a powerful new level of control functionality. ”

Multi-tasking management

Compact and rackmountable, CP3 enables real-time multi-tasking to seamlessly manage up to 10 Standalone programs at the same time. A programming architecture like IT allows integrators to perform system maintenance and expansion in ways not previously possible.. Updates can be performed on any individual subsystem -such as AV, Lighting control, Hvac, Safety and temperature control systems- without affecting the entire system. Since each control program is independent, Restarting one program has no effect on the others. The result is better system architecture with virtually no downtime.

Built-in BACnet/IP support enables integration with building management systems and other BACnet devices. All systems can run independently and communicate with each other on the same high-power Crestron platform, Creating a truly smart building. With the control systems of the series 3 by Crestron, Integrated lighting control, of the blinds, of HVAC, of the AV, of the BMS, of security, of IT and other connected systems now becomes faster, simpler and much more efficient.

Integrated SNMP support enables integration with third-party network management software, enabling control and monitoring in a format that is familiar to IT staff. Using Fusion RV remote asset management software, Staff can perform remote programming, Monitoring and control of rooms and technology from a central helpdesk, leading to a significant increase in productivity.

Connecting to mobile devices

As a fully integrated building technology platform, all updates can be performed remotely over IP with better secure Ethernet connectivity to ensure enterprise-wide network security. Easy connection to CP3 via iPhone mobile devices, iPad and Android and computers provide users with convenient and reliable mobile control of a building or home from anywhere in the world. Core technology 3 Integrated XPanel UI gives facility administrators and owners virtual touchscreen control through any web browser running on any Mac or PC.

Designed to save energy, the CP3 consumes little power in a 15 Watts environmentally friendly. Includes a PW-2420RU power supply. The USB port 2.0 and MMC memory card slot allow users to add plenty of external storage on the fly using SD cards and USB sticks.

The CP3 is the first release of an advanced high-performance family of series control systems 3 by Crestron, that will replace the processors of the series 2. It is planned to launch new control systems of the series 3 next year. “The CP3 and the Core platform 3 OS is the new hub for network infrastructure and control of integrated building and integrated home technology”, added Van Meeuwen.
