The outdoor advertising agency Cemusa will control conventional advertising, the digital and the spectacular and promotional of most Spanish airports -except those of the Canary Islands- over the next six years, after the agreement reached with AENA.

The company AENA Aeropuertos S.A. has awarded to Cemusa the commercial exploitation of advertising in a total of 41 Spanish airports. The concession has a term of six years extendable for a period of four additional years and its priority objective is the modernization and adaptation of the advertising offer to new trends. Gracias a esta concesión Cemusa gestionará en exclusiva la publicidad de los aeropuertos de la Península (Asturias, Bilbao, Burgos, Huesca, A Coruña, lion, Logroño, Madrid-Barajas, Madrid-Cuatro Vientos, Madrid-Torrejón, Pamplona, Salamanca, Santander, Santiago, San Sebastian, Valladolid, Vigo, Vitoria, Albacete, helipuerto de Algeciras, Alicante, Almeria, Badajoz, Barcelona, Córdoba, Girona, Grenade, Jerez, Malaga, Murcia, Reus, Sabadell, Seville, Valencia and Zaragoza), así como los de las Islas Baleares -Mallorca, Ibiza, Menorca y Son Bonet-, Ceuta y Melilla a partir del 1 January 2013. For its part, la empresa Juan José Fuentes Tabares se ha adjudicado los aeropuertos de Canarias: Gran Canaria, Tenerife Sur, Tenerife Norte, Lanzarote, Fuerteventura, La Palma, La Gomera y El Hierro.

Entre los aeropuertos adjudicados a Cemusa destacan los de Madrid y Barcelona que, Thanks to the combination of their strong business profile and tourist interest, they are respectively in fifth and ninth place in the European ranking by number of passengers transported.. The contract will also include other airports with high tourist traffic such as Palma de Mallorca., Malaga, Alicante Ibiza, Valencia and Seville that received in 2011 part of the almost 57 millions of international tourists who contribute to making Spain the second country in the world in tourist income.

This contract will involve the modernization of advertising and communication activity to match that of the world's leading airports through more innovative and interactive solutions that will allow the specific environment of each airport to be revalued., improve the services offered to passengers and ensure advertisers the best opportunities to reach consumers.

Specifically, three different types of advertising media will be exploited: Advertising on conventional media, Advertising in digital media and spectacular and promotional advertising, that will offer the advertising market a new space for global communication in a privileged space with high added value so that brands can dialogue freely and effectively with their customers..
