The architecture studio A-cero has redesigned a building of Mutua Madrileña, located on the Paseo de la Castellana in Madrid, modifying the skin of the property by installing an LED lighting system in blue that gives it greater dynamism.

The architecture studio A-zero has been commissioned to design the new image of one of the buildings of Mutua Madrileña located on the Paseo de la Castellana in Madrid, specifically between the numbers 36 and 38 of this axis of the capital. The operation consisted of a “skin modification” of the property, in which the installation of an LED lighting system in blue color that stands out, according to the firm, “provides a striking and modern effect, visible when the sun goes down”. The study, led by Joaquín Torres and Rafael Llamazares, underlines in a statement that by incorporating this blue light element to the façade “it is possible to create a visual conversion between the corporate identification of the Building the Muta Madrileña”.

The 'new skin'’ of the property, aluminum composite panel, has been placed on top of the existing one on all the facades. The change of image of the building has also included the placement of elements that modify the image of the building without altering its volumetry or increasing its surface. It is worth mentioning the 'ribs'’ Vertical, already existing previously, which give the whole of the white structure greater verticality, in combination with the black hollows that nuance the drawing of the architectural silhouette.

On the main façade, the new skin slightly lengthens the existing sawteeth to achieve a curvature that gives the façade the feeling of undulation. The existing canopy is covered with the composite panel, which bends at the end so that, without an increase in flight, the canopy is endowed with a more sculptural character.
