The Xunta de Galicia has awarded TRedess, company specialized in the design and manufacture of video monitoring systems over IP, The project to centralize the control of the video surveillance system in several docks of regional ownership, that will allow the implementation of the control system of port facilities using cameras to minimize the risk of accidents.

TRedess has been selected for the realization of the project “Subministro e instalación do equipamento necesario para a homoxenización e visualización remoto do sistema de videovixilancia dos portos do EPPG”, covering the ports of Tragove, Vilanova de Arousa, Foz, Burela, Celeiro, Ribadeo, My dear, Testal, Freixo, Ribeira, Corme, A Pobra do Caramiñal, Sada, Brens-Cee, Rianxo, Canido, Cangas de O Morrazo, O Xufre e Vilaxoán. The objective is to homogenize the facilities of all port areas and connect all systems with the control centers of each area as well as with the headquarters in Santiago de Compostela.

In the proposed video surveillance system, the responsibility for the control of the recordings is assumed by the port body since it is the Public Administration that has competence in this regard in not other groups in the sector.
