As a result of the collaboration between German music hardware and software developer Steinberg and Japanese sound company Yamaha Commercial Audio, The Nuage system opens a new era in audio post-production. Nuage seamlessly connects professional audio engineers via an intuitive touch surface with the advanced Nuendo post-production software 6.

Combining the cutting-edge technology of two of the big players in the audio industry, The new Nuage system represents a radical redefinition of what's possible in audio post-production, offering a truly integrated solution that seamlessly combines the control and hardware interface of Yamaha with a new version of the Nuendo DAW software from Steinberg, Nuendo 6, to provide unprecedented creativity for professionals in the broadcast industries, advertising, Cinema & Video Games.

Nuage components communicate with each other and with up to three DAWs over the Dante network. A low-latency Dante PCIe audio interface card (for Mac or PC) Supplies up to 128 Simultaneous bi-directional channels, to 192 kHz or 256 up to 96 khz. While it's easy to create custom configurations to fit any application, The digital network means premium audio quality is maintained at all times.

Nuage's hardware is modular, Offering maximum flexibility for all applications. Components Include:

• Nuage Fader Control Surfaces: that align with the system's LCD screen to provide very smooth visual continuity of operation with the Nuendo mixing window.
• A Nuage Master control unit: with everything you need for editing and managing Nuendo sessions in a very efficient user configuration.
• Nuage Workspace Units: which can be used to integrate third-party hardware and/or custom options for specific installations.
• Three Nuage I/O units: Provide 16 Analog I/O, 16 I/O AES/EBU u 8 analog and 8 Digital.
• A PCIe Dante Accelerator card: that gives the team running the Nuendo extra low-latency multi-channel audio data transfer capability – with redundancy.
