Schneider Electric has adapted its iMSU permanent surge coils with the Aenor certification of its product and the combined surge protection Combi SPU. The objective of this action is to incorporate the UNE EN regulations 50550 in all its permanent surge protection.

With this new standard, A characteristic curve of progressive voltage trip is established / time and non-response time is also available to prevent unwanted actions.

Highlights are the inclusion of a new scope: Domestic and similar installations; the establishment of a progressive voltage trigger curve / time and the need for the permanent surge protector to always be associated with the main cutting element of the installation (mainly for actuation and disconnection on the automatic general switch). This regulation was published in 2012 and its objective is to regulate the design of equipment intended for protection against temporary or permanent surges.
