The Navarrese company Mahei Innovation and Imaginarium have been collaborating together for a year and a half to develop products based on augmented reality and applicable to education and entertainment.

Priecto Mahei and Imaginarium

The first project, fruit of the collaboration between Mahei Innovation and Imaginarium was developed in December 2012 under the name of ImaginAR and the last one they have launched is called Movement. Two examples of augmented reality applications applied to business and marketing.

ImaginAR was aimed at promoting reading among the little ones and its objective was to make the books come to life by focusing them with one of the tablets marketed by the toy firm. Through 3D animations the protagonist of the book and his world emerged on the tablet as if they were leaving the book. The app was able to interact with physical toys, so by inserting a toy radio in front of the camera, this began to sound and the protagonist of the children's story began to dance. The app was also given another target to which the children focused and the protaonist walked through the store.

For its part, Movement seeks to end the immobility of children who spend hours sitting in front of a screen. The goal of the new Apps, that offers three mini-games and that Mahe has developed, is that children move around the house or go outside instead of playing seated. Movement has been launched in more than 15 countries and translated into Spanish, English, Italian and Portuguese.
