Avigilon has unveiled LightCatcher technology that provides a way to capture color detail in low-light environments.

Avigilon Security

The new technology of Avigilon is called LightCatcher with which it is possible to identify objects of interest in difficult lighting situations such as restaurants, Bars, Hotels, parking lots and narrow streets.

“Capture color detail, regardless of lighting conditions, is a major concern in the security environment. Being able to identify a suspect's vehicle color or clothing can be the difference in an investigation. “, explains Ian Povey, Director of Marketing and Product Management, Avigilon.

Avigilon SecurityBy increasing the amount of light and detail captured through the camera and decreasing noise in the image, LightCatcher technology produces significantly more color detail from a low-light scene than any other technology. This combination results in the ability to identify objects of interest more effectively .

Avigilon cameras with LightCatcher technology will integrate 1,3 megapixels, removable IR filter, Power over Ethernet with power input 24 VDC or 12 VAC and audio I/O. They will be ONVIF compliant and fully compatible with Avigilon Control Center software.
