Kontron OmniView, multi-touch touch monitors ideal for multimedia applications

The Kontron OmniView series offers a three-pronged solution in a single device: a Panel PC, an industrial monitor and a long-distance interface to bridge remote systems separated by up to 30 metre.

Kontron has increased the scalability of its OmniClient Panel PC portfolio with the OmniView series of industrial touch monitors. Devices that offer projective multi-touch functionality capacitivia (PCAP), in a design 16:9 with seamless glass surfaces, Ideal for creating multi-screen solutions.

The new industrial monitors with 15,6, 18,5 and 21,5 inches feature IP65 front protection and interoperability with any industrial PC.

When it comes to multi-touch systems based on multi-screen with Panel PC, Machine and plant operators want to acquire everything from a single source. That's why, We designed the OnmiClient Panel PC series with a modular approach, where we can completely separate the IPC function from the monitor", explains Norbert Hauser, Head of Business Line Industrial Automation at Kontron.

Via long-distance interface for DVI-D and USB, The new OmniView industrial monitors can be installed at 30 Host Meters, enabling highly flexible GUI installations in machinery and production areas. With luminosity of 300 CD & Matte Finish Glass, These monitors provide excellent readability, even in adverse conditions.

Depending on the monitor chassis, mounting options include panel or Vesa (Stand-alone). The features are rounded off by a high level of connectivity (USB for touchscreen control and DisplayPort, DVI-I and VGA), power supply via a 24 VDC & Operating Temperature Range 0 to +50 C.
