First experience of exchange of perception of two people located at 1.300 Kilometers.

mediapro3DWithin the framework of the European Project 2020 3D Media, and within the framework of an investigation sponsored by Mediapro, Crew-Creative Workers and Datasat, on the fifth of March a performance was held W (Double U) in world premiere between the Belgian city of Mons and the headquarters of the Catalan group in Barcelona. The objective of this performance was to exchange the perception of two people located at 1.300 kilometers away. The two participants, equipped with an immersive helmet and connected to each other via satellite, They exchanged the images collected by their cameras and through their helmets. The experiment allowed them to act together and guide each other in their locations through a route previously set and guided by a Belgian actor at each of the points.. This European project aims to investigate, Develop and demonstrate new ways to produce entertainment experiences based on capture technologies, production, Distribution and display of immersive and three-dimensional images and sounds. This project, of four years' duration, provide new dimensions for digital cinema and create new immersive and 3D multimedia content.
