Panasonic will put on sale before the summer a new low-cost mixer with multiviewer and multi-format output, even 3D HD, that will combine high-quality video and audio mixing features in corporate environments, Educational, event production, and mobile or portable apps or small studios.

Panasonic has unveiled what will be its new low-cost multi-format mixer for production in HD / SD-SDI, with embedded audio, and stereoscopic 3D HD. This new proposal in mixers will not work in mixed HD and SD configurations, 59,94 Hz and 50 Hz or 1080i and 720p. The new AG-HMX100 expected to go on sale in June will be a high-end option, but quite affordable, to mix audio and video in corporate environments, Educational, event production, and mobile or portable applications. With a very easy to use interface, will offer multiscreen output and will feature two HDMI inputs, two analogs in composite, being able to connect directly to any camcorder or any other source. Other connections with the will be DVI-I input for use with a computer, two DVI-D outputs (for program and multiscreen), micro input, dual auxiliary and audio outputs, connection for helmets by jack, genlock, Gpi, RS-232C and tally. To the possibility of working with embedded audio from HD/SD-SDI camcorders and other sources, the HMX100 offers eight XLW and two RCA connectors for line inputs, as well as embedded audio output and two channels for analog outputs. The new HMX100 will feature an LCD monitor 5,7 inches and a very intuitive control panel that will allow easy access to all digital effects, cortinullas and transitions, luminance and chrominance keys, ace., titler, time effects (pause/strobe) and all kinds of fades for audio and video, which can also be programmed and called directly from memory buttons. Its function as a multiviewer will allow you to control all video sources at all times, audio levels, waveform monitoring both on multiple screens and on a simple monitor. Connected to a monitor, this mixer will be able to display the output preview, the level of audio in inputs and outputs, up to six video inputs, a DVI-I source and a waveform monitor. In AV environments, the new HMX100 will be able to easily connect to Panasonic projectors via DVI-D, HD-SDI and RS-232C being able to mix several sources during a presentation remoteing the control of each projector. The price of the new Panasonic AG-HMX100, which will be on the market before summer, will be around the 5.100 Euros.
