The Basque company Ikusi and group Matia Foundation signed a collaboration agreement to promote the development of technology-based services that improve the quality of life of people affected by chronic diseases and rehabiliacion interactive services.
The Foundation Matíadedicated to providing public health care services to seniors and Guipuzcoa, Gipuzkoa company of new technologies Ikusi they have signed an agreement which aims to generate services adapted to the needs of older persons with chronic diseases. Gerardo Amunarriz, director general of the Group Matia Foundation, and Germán Ormazabal, general director of Ikusi have signed the agreement.
The agreement signed is going to develop in several key areas. On the one hand, it aims the development and validation of new solutions and technological services, provided by Ikusi, to improve the quality of life of people affected by chronic diseases. For example: Telecare, non-intrusive monitoring, rehabilitation, education, and communication with the communities of caregivers and family members. In addition, it will allow the development of interactive services of rehabilitation for the hospital environment.
Todo ello permitirá a Ikusi impulsar el crecimiento de su actividad en el mercado de la salud y de las tecnologías de la información y la comunicación sanitarias, de la mano de la Fundación Matia. Ikusi persigue diseñar, desarrollar y generar servicios de base tecnológica orientados a segmentos de la gestión de las patologías crónicas y del envejecimiento saludable que sirvan para mejorar la sostenibilidad del sistema asistencial y la eficacia de sus gestores.
