The Audio Control System Provider, lighting and home theater for the home, Vantage, has launched the 850D-DA distributed digital audio amplifier, dedicated to multi-room sound distribution. Each 850D-DA has independent or linked volume control for each of the eight amplified/pre-amplified zones, and accepts any analog or digital source.

Vantage has released the distributed digital audio amplifier 850D-DA, offering eight independently controlled sound zones for each room in the house. It is one of the most advanced distributed audio amplifiers for multiple rooms on the market, providing a linked or independent volume control for each room, and accepts up to twelve input signals from a variety of digital or analog audio sources, including DVD and Blu-Ray, media servers, CD players, Satellite and Cable platforms, digital music players and more.

The Vantage 850D-DA is the new component in Vantage's line of home automation and control systems, incorporating customizable touchscreen interfaces, lighting controls, home theater components and much more, all based on the InFusion System controller and with communication via Vantage Bus Ethernet control.

"We have designed the 850D-DA to deliver on our promise of the “Living Perfection” for the homeowner, while also providing ease of installation for a custom installer. We have provided many features, as the support for 72 audio zones with the ability to adjust each of the audio gain and delay input sources, 15 program presets and much more. We do this to facilitate installation, and with 8 freestanding zones and a form of expansion beyond what a single unit can accommodate in most homes, several 850D-DA units can handle even the largest installations. It is a very well thought out distributed amplifier and we are very proud to offer it to our distributors”, have commented from the company.

Advanced technology and ease of use

The Vantage 850D-DA features six amplified stereo outputs with 50 watts per channel (in 8 Ohms, or 75 Watts, in 4 Ohms), plus two line-level stereo outputs (pre-amplified and fully controllable). It has eight analog inputs and 12 digital inputs. Media files are accessed through a network port. There are also two doorbell inputs, one USB port, and amp control connections.

Fifteen program presets, such as momentary and two-page presets, provide owners and their guests with easy-to-use custom audio control options (via touchscreen interfaces). Zones can be connected to each other selectively. Each analog input has its own software-based gain control, and also features an audio delay settings setting that supports Vantage 1080HD integration.

Like the rest of Vantage products, the 850D-DA is designed to maximize control, simplify operation, and speed up its installation. Amplifiers are protected against short-range short circuits at outputs, and have three progressive levels of thermal protection.
