Distributed worldwide by Yamaha Commercial Audio, Audinate Dante-MY16-AUD card now supports HA remote control via Dante network, allowing you to control the main amplifiers on the Rio3224-D and Rio1608-D I/O rack units remotely from digital mixers such as the M7CL or LS9.

The Mini-YGDAI Audinate Dante-MY16-AUD interface card marketed by Yamaha Commercial Audio has been updated to allow remote control of the main amplifier. The updated version allows the main amplifiers in the Rio3224-D and Rio1608-D I/O rack units to be controlled remotely from digital mixing consoles such as the M7CL or LS9.

The Dante-MY16-AUD card includes Dante technology from Audinate that distributes digital audio with imperceptible latency, precise synchronization of sample reproduction and excellent reliability. Dante Network Audio Protocol Delivers Exceptional Basic Performance with Low Jitter and Latency, while scaling a flexible system to accommodate a wide range of applications and capabilities. These capabilities have made the Dante a common choice for live sound installations and applications..

By having a digital audio network authentically “plug and play” and automatic configuration that uses standard Internet protocols, Ethernet to 100 Mbps or 1Gbps, Dante-ready devices will self-configure, automatically detecting the location and number of channels of other devices on the network, which will reduce complicated installation requirements. Dante technology runs on standard network hardware and does not require a dedicated network infrastructure. In addition, can use the same ethernet network to transmit uncompressed audio and also control normal data traffic.

Another important innovation provided by the Dante-MY16-AUD card is the Dante Virtual Soundcard software (Dvs) by Audinate. With DVS, a Macintosh or Windows computer acts like any other device prepared for Dante technology. Just install DVS and connect your computer using the standard Ethernet port.

Each Dante-MY16-AUD card provides 16 two-way audio channels (eight to 96 khz) and full Dante network audio redundancy. More cards can be added to increase the number of channels, allowing users of Yamaha products to record up to 48 audio channels of 24 bits directly in any recording software (Mac or PC) no need for an audio interface.

Integration with the new Yamaha CL consoles

The collaboration between Yamaha and Audinate began with the development of the Dante-MY16-AUD interface card and this year's launch of the Yamaha CL digital mixers has witnessed the first implementation of Dante as a standard integrated protocol.. With this update, the Rio3224-D and Rio1608-D I/O rack units, which previously could only be used with the CL series, they can now be used with digital mixing consoles such as the M7CL and LS9 that do not have Dante communication capability.

Lee Ellison, CEO of Audinate, Said: “now, Yamaha's digital consoles equipped with Audinate's Dante-MY16-AUD will gain the ability to use the amplifier's control function and will be integrated with the new Rio I/O racks. This enhancement further extends Dante's complete network ecosystem for Yamaha products.”
