The manufacturer of laser phosphor displays (LPD) Prysm has supplied a video wall installation of 17,5 meters long to the Customer Experience Center that the multinational General Electric has inaugurated in its new Innovation Center located in the city of Markham (Canada).

The company General Electric (GE) has opened its new Grid IQ Innovation Centre in Markham (Ontario, Canada). This state-of-the-art facility, of 200.000 m2, has been designed to foster innovation and collaboration to improve efficiency, the reliability and safety of power grids around the world. The building features a technical training center that provides on-site education offerings’ and remote for employees, GE partners and customers.

To help bring the new center to life in the most engaging and customer-friendly way possible, General Electric has partnered with Canadian AV integrator Advanced, to imagine, design and install an integrated audio-video system and an IT solution that encompasses 55 rooms including a Customer Experience Center that has a huge LPD video wall of 17,5 meters of the prysm signature.

Advanced has used video wall technology from Prysm along with several wall-mounted touchscreens that allow customers to explore GE's energy technologies firsthand and provide them with ways to discover solutions to improve and expand their power grids. In fact, is the largest curved Prysm video wall in the world, with measures of 17,5 meters long by 2 meters high with 175 individual tiles with the finest possible joints. Video processing is provided by the Extron Quantum Elite processor and a multi-zone professional audio system has been installed to complete the multimedia experience. The Customer Experience Center has Crestron automation systems and can be controlled via an iPad.

The Customer Experience Center uses Prysm's immersive user experience to connect with its key constituents to drive product awareness and educate customers. Markham's installation features an interactive curved video wall of 180 degrees with content and images showcasing a full suite of GE energy management products through a great digital experience.
