DPA dfacto II

DPA Microphones will present the new voice microphone d:facto II at the NAMM Hall 2013 (stand 6996). With a studio sound valid for live performances, this last addition to line d:de facto offers a natural sound, high separation and extreme SPL handling, providing users with unlimited possibilities for their actions. In addition to its use with the new handle with DPA cable, d:facto II provides singers and sound engineers with the added benefit of a state-of-the-art adapter system, enabling seamless integration with many professional wireless systems.

Christian Poulsen, CEO of DPA Microphones, has pointed out: “We are very proud to have developed an ingenious range of adapters that delivers the authentic DPA sound of a wireless system. The wireless systems available today offer very limited power to handle the capsule, so getting the sound quality we wanted was almost impossible. We had to be creative and put a lot of work and thought into the electronic circuit of the adapter solution. As far as I know, no one else has been able to be so faithful to the vocalist's input. We wanted to make the best vocal microphone on the market, and with d:we have actually reached that goal”.

The new d:de facto guarantees users exceptional DPA sound with today's popular wireless systems, as Sony, Lectrosonics, Shure, Sennheiser and Wisycom. The d:facto II provides improved audio performance, since it is extraordinarily linear in frequency and phase, both on and off axis, while its definition and precision reproduce the voice of a singer effortlessly.

Susanne Seidel, executive vice president of sales and marketing for DPA Microphones, Reviewed: “Easy to use, faithful to the voice, elegant to the eye and wonderful to hold, d:facto II is a true work of art. With the new microphone, we intend to make the dreams of both the singer and the sound engineer come true. The flexibility of its adapter system gives the user simple and very affordable possibilities to choose between a DPA cable handle or the professional wireless system of their choice, no loss in sound quality”.

The same, in the field of sound reinforcement and recording applications, d:facto II will become a favorite item for live sound engineers. Its simple plug-and-play features allow an extraordinary natural sound to be reproduced, that reaches the extreme sound level of 160 Db. As with all DPA microphones, d:facto II provides superior gain before feedback and a robust three-phase anti-pop protection grid integrated into the microphone to eliminate unwanted noise. In addition, features handling noise isolation, as well as the ability to adapt to extreme sound levels.
