The Theatre of Ulm in Germany, has expanded its intercom system with a solution Artist Riedel Communications. In this case, it has opted for a digital intercom matrix Artist allowing integration of radio.
Ulm Theatre, founded 1641, is the main venue for opera, theater and ballet in this German city. On the occasion of the last renovation, the theater has chosen the digital intercom system Riedel.
At the heart of the installation are a Riedel Artis 32 mainframe that lays the foundation for the communications infrastructure. Because the free scalability that allows Artist, this facility could easily be expanded to a maximum of 1,024 × 1,024 non-blocking ports for installation.
Karlheinz Fohlert, chief technical audio and video at the Theatre of Ulm, acknowledges that "above all, the scalability of the Artist system was crucial for us. Riedel RiFace is responsible for integrating the radio infrastructure theater with wireless intercom system. Thus, the radius can directly talk to the control panel and vice versa.
