Unique and avant-garde work, the Andalusian Space for Contemporary Creation of Córdoba begins its artistic activity with one of its most representative elements on its exterior, the so-called 'Media Façade', oriented to the Guadalquivir River, in which through innovative lighting and video systems all kinds of audiovisual shows are projected.

The 'Media Façade' is perforated by numerous polygonal holes where video and lighting equipment designed expressly for this project is located.. specifically, This is a screen of 100 meters long, perforated by 1.319 hexagonal holes equipped with Led lighting that will form a black and white image and color.

This architectural element, Made with concrete panels, It is expressly designed for the realization of audiovisual and night lighting interventions, which will be reflected in turn in the sheet of water of the Guadalquivir River as a screen.

The lighting project for the 'Media Façade' and the interior of the building has been carried out by Lledó Group meeting the requirements desired by the architects to respect the aesthetics of the construction and create an environment of comfort with minimum energy consumption.

One of the challenges of the project has been to transform the façade into a large screen of light and visual expression. To achieve the uniformity of lighting, each of the openings is illuminated from the side and serves as a reflector for the thousands of mini projectors Led Zirconic of this firm that have been integrated into their holes, from which the intensity is individually controlled.

The innovation of this project lies in a concept of optics of own development of Grupo Lledó that combines Led light with a light-forming diffuser and a frosted protection glass and recessed mounting.

Lledo Zirconic RGBAs Jan Riha explains, responsible for this project of the Lledó Group, "The effectiveness of façade lighting depends on the quality and efficiency of the luminaires used and the proper design of the lighting control system.. For this project we have chosen the mini projectors equipped with a single high power Zirconic Led (of 2,1 W and 2.4W monochrome 86 lm/W), and a special oval light distribution to obtain adequate lighting for each type of span".

The square shape of the heat sink provides optimal evaporation of heat from the Led. In addition, luminaires, with IP65 protection certificate, They are telescopic to make them easy to rotate and tilt to improve the direction of the light.

Overnight, when viewed from afar, Projectors are individually illuminated to become "pixels" of a large display system. During the day, Natural light filters through the perforations to illuminate the covered inner street in a sifted way.
