Schneider Electric is involved with its management and control solutions for hotels in the V Congress KNX, a leader in building automation technologies held from 26 to 27 June in Barcelona.
In the V Congress KNX, Which will feature presentations and exhibition area, Schneider Electric will present its new access control KNX hotels, using RFID technology, by which the devices detect the cards with only approximation.
The installation management system is based on three components: readers at the entrances of the rooms or common areas, bringing a coded card to open the door; card retainers placed inside the rooms enable different room amenities depending on the user (client, housekeeping, maintenance, ...); the software that manages and stores all system information (occupied rooms, reserved, pending cleaning, etc.) and monitoring and supervision services.
Another new feature is the KNX interface for consumption meters, thanks to the ModBus interface is able to read values up to 32 meters Schneider Electric and gas measurement values or water through ~ 10 meters with digital inputs.
All measured and stored values can be displayed in a BMS KNX system or other display systems, such as remote control See-Home, a KNX application that allows real-time control lighting, air conditioning or security systems from a smartphone or tablet (Android or iOS).
In addition, Alberto Pizarro, responsible for Innovation and Standardization in Schneider Electric and president of CEDOM, held during the conference a presentation on laws and regulations applicable to home automation and building automation systems; and Javier Hernandez, KNX product manager of the company, address consumption measurement by KNX technology.
