The new Icon systems 400 and Icon Flex developed by Lifesize, along with updates to its Cloud videoconferencing service offer cost-effective and easily scalable video communication that adapts to all organizations.

Lifesize, division of Logitech, has its new Icon videoconferencing systems available 400 and Icon Flex that, in combination with the company's Cloud service, structure a simple video solution, reliable and scalable to meet the needs of any meeting room in an organization.

This development responds, as Craig Malloy explains, founder and CEO of Lifesize, that "customers tell us they want a videoconferencing system that works, no problems or complications, and that does not take long to install or require help from the it department staff. They use video on mobiles and want the same kind of simple solution for the office that allows them to connect with anyone from anywhere".

Solution for small rooms

Lifesize Icon 400, available from 1.999 Euros, is designed for confined meeting rooms, with an exceptionally low environmental impact, which maintains the video quality features that the Icon system 600. User control is intuitive and as easy to use as a smartphone, to quickly add audio and video participants to the meeting, as well as easily share content.

Another of its advantages is its simplicity of installation, without requiring assistance from the IT department. To connect it with Lifesize Cloud you only have to follow four steps: connect to power supply, prepare the screen (HDMI), establish any IP connection that is necessary and enter the Lifesize Cloud user and password.

After this, Icon 400 supports all forms of communication, whether they are extraordinary calls from people in the directory with presence detector, planned or even impromptu meetings in virtual meeting rooms, with individual and group calls of up to twenty-five participants, on laptops, tablets or smartphones.

When pairing Icon 400 with Lifesize Cloud the organization has multipoint communication capability to connect multiple locations or people, provide secure outbound to public networks for external calls and perform automatic software updates on the device, thus reducing the workload of IT department staff.

Personal collaboration

Available in March 2015 from 1.599 Euros, Lifesize Icon Flex is the videoconferencing proposal for companies that already have a personal collaboration application, as Microsoft Lync, Skype, Google Hangouts, Cisco Jabber, WebEx or Citrix GoToMeeting, as a first choice to carry out your meetings, but they can benefit from expanding a small meeting room with a complete solution.

Users only have to connect their PC or Mac via USB and Icon Flex is responsible for capturing and processing audio and video to offer a high quality of communication so that all participants can see and hear each other clearly.

Icon Flex leverages Icon's design 400 with an enterprise-class finish reminiscent of traditional Lifesize conference classrooms. This system can be configured with a tabletop microphone with Beam Forming technology or with a company phone.

Lifesize Cloud Updates and Enhancements

LifeSize CloudAward-winning Lifesize Cloud service makes it easy to video meetings from anywhere and with any device to easily connect with other people or meeting rooms without any problems.

New Lifesize Cloud Updates, available next February with annual subscription plans (from 30 euros month/user), incorporate as improvements the possibility of connecting directly from the Web browser, so that the user can make Lifesize Cloud video calls with a single click directly from their Firefox web browser, Internet Explorer, Google Chrome or Safari.

In addition, offers full integration with existing workflow tools, since the new Chrome extension and Outlook add-on allows the user to plan videoconferences and invite whoever they want directly from Google Calendar or Outlook, no need to open the Lifesize Cloud app.

Another improvement is its interoperability with Microsoft Lync, so that any of the more than one hundred million users that this system has can participate in meetings hosted in Lifesize Cloud from your Lync client application with a single click.
