The new exhibition space of the Institute of Culture of Barcelona (ICUB), that recovers the Roman remains of the city of Barcelona, in this case of the Domus Avinyó, has had the experience in installation and audiovisual integration of Sono for this museographic project in the field of culture.

As part of the Barcino plan, that aims to recover the Roman remains of the city of Barcelona, the ICUB has created an exhibition space of the Domus Avinyó, dating back to the first century AD, of whose remains were discovered in an archaeological excavation in 2004, from which a set of mural paintings of great technical quality have been recovered and restored, never seen before, that this cultural institute wants to show citizens.

To carry out the audiovisual engineering project, the ICUB has relied on Sono to install and integrate the systems of this new museum and cultural space.

ICUB Domus Avinyo by SonoThe exhibition of the Domus Avinyó, that can be visited for free until the next 26 April, It is divided into three distinct zones. The first begins the tour and introduces the visitor to Roman times through sounds that are activated by presence sensors.

In a second zone, and the main one of the exhibition, The guided tour is carried out thanks to the integration of a control system that, from an iPad, Manages all audiovisual equipment and allows you to choose the language of the session. In addition, the automatic synchronization of different elements has been programmed., such as video playback and lighting.

The audiovisual technology used includes a large-format panoramic projection (5x 2,5 metre), screens of 10 inches for individual consultation of visitors, as well as two multi-touch displays of 46 inches that allow them to delve into the content of the exhibition interactively.

Already in the last zone, the visitor observes on the wall another audiovisual projection that offers additional information about the historical context of the Domus Avinyó.
