It is a simple audio format converter with multiple options, that allows you to use DiGiCo Multichannel Interface cards (Dmi) to create audio paths across a variety of interfaces.

Digico OrangeBox Meyer Sound

Orange Box DiGiCo, available through Meyer Sound Spain, has two power supplies for redundancy and two slots to accommodate any of the ten currently available interfaces (dante, Hydra2, Bnc, Cat5, Optocore, Aviom, adc, aes, DAC and SoundGrid), as it allows conversion of almost all audio formats into others.

As digico's managing director points out, James Gordon, "Orange Box is our first technological development made with the professional audio group that we formed with Calrec and Allen & Heath, but we have opened it for other manufacturers, so it's a very useful device".

It is also very simple to use, as they point out from the company. For example, if you want to connect the product with Madi to one with Hydra2 connection, all that is needed is Orange Box, a DMI card with Calrec's Hydra2 and one with Madi, and connect them through the two slots of this converter.

"There are ten DMI cards available at the moment," says Gordon., but as with all digico stuff, we are not willing to stop here, therefore we will have, without a doubt, many more available".
