Denon Professional, through its distributor in Spain Gaplasa, has introduced the DN-304S compact self-powered speaker system, ideal for business and educational environments, as well as in multimedia production.

Denon DN-304S"With its high-quality elements, class A/B amplification, and its vibration-free MDF enclosures, DN-304S provide sound performance that makes them perfect for conference rooms, Classrooms, presentation areas in commercial environments, as well as for monitoring in multimedia production tasks," comments Costa Lakoumentas, Senior VP at Denon Professional.

The DN-304S system consists of two boxes, each composed by a woofer of 4 inches of high excursion and a tweeter of 1 ferrofluid-cooled inch.

The tweeter is mounted on a proprietary waveguide that controls dispersion, ensuring optimal coverage in the listening area, free from the reflections of designs with too wide dispersion and from the 'shadow' areas produced by designs with too narrow coverage.

Denon DN-304SThe left speaker contains the system's stereo amplifier, with 20 W per channel, that uses an A/B class architecture.

Class A/B amplifiers have better headroom and overload features compared to class D amplifiers commonly used in self-powered speakers, and this is a key factor in achieving the sound quality of the DN-304S.

The boxes are made of MDF, a dense, acoustically inert material that prevents the case from vibrating and diminishing system clarity. Ease of use and flexible connectivity are also important considerations in the design of these Denon devices..

On the front panel of the left speaker are located the volume control, as well as an auxiliary input in minijack to connect other devices and a headphone output to give the possibility of private listening.

characteristics:

  • 4 Woofer″ with polypropylene cover for a forceful and detailed bass.
  • Tweeter of 1″ ferrofluid-cooled for detailed and intelligible high frequencies and mounted on a proprietary waveguide for optimal sound coverage.
  • 20W per channel amplifier with class A/B architecture.
  • Inputs in rear panel balanced in 1/4″ TRS and unbalanced in RCA.
  • Front panel: stereo auxiliary input minijack, headphone output and volume control.
  • Bass reflex box design with rear panel bass port for deep and extensive bass response.
