The past 15 In June, the singer Rozalén offered a concert at the Palau de la Música in Barcelona, during which a DVD for Sony Music was also burned..

In charge of the mixing and recording was José María Rosillo, Technical responsible for the sound of the event, who opted for the dLive digital mixing console from Allen & Heath, whose brand markets Lexon Distribution, for its realization.

This equipment was used, on the one hand, to make the FoH mixture, and, on the other, to generate the three redundant recordings you wanted to make. It has been a concert in which they have been used 64 canals, I mean, all the preamps offered by the DM64 unit.

Rosillo defines himself as an engineer who, at any given time, has been forced to produce. "I came to the world of production because I am an engineer and, When there is no one acting as a producer, Someone has to take the reins. If in a recording there is a figure that holds the reins, perfect... otherwise, I have to take them myself; otherwise the project does not go ahead. That has also changed the way I work live.”.

The original design of the system for this concert was conceived to have a double redundancy, I mean, have three recordings, in addition to the FoH blend, all managed by a single Allen dLive table & Heath. The primary recording would be made from the MADI card of the dLive to a Digigrid MGB interface, and from there to José Maria Rosillo's computer.

A second recording was made from the Waves SounGrid card of the dLive console to another computer and, in third place, a Dante card that was to be used for a dual purpose: provide signal to the monitor table and on the other hand provide a split to record on a third computer. In this system, dLive acts as a master table, since you are in control of the profits, has the previous, Etc. The monitor table receives a digital split of all signals via Dante.

At last, MADI card dispensed with, and the primary recording was done via Waves SoundGrid and through Dante signal was sent to the monitor table and two computers for recording.

"dLive is a very solid system that works very well.. Its quality/price ratio is unbeatable. It is an excellent solution to carry out live performances. I'm sure that with other much more expensive digital tables I would have had a lot of problems., Card only, interfaces and so on", says Rosillo.
