The 21st edition of the European electronic music festival Nature One, recently held in the small German town of Kastellaun, specifically on the grounds of the former NATO missile base in Pydna, has relied on the work of the local entertainment service provider Pave for the event's sound and audio control system, with manufacturer's systems D&b audiotechnik.

As Tobi Weiser explains, responsible for Pave and audio control at this festival, This year's sound technology was selected from D&B for the Main Stage. "We covered the dance area with a four-point sound reinforcement system, with speakers located in the four corners. Each position was covered with J8s, along with two J12s for wider coverage at the bottom of each array, and four V-SUBs provided the speakers, located on the back, extra bass support".

The technical team installed 36 J-SUBs, stacked across twelve sets of three high, with the final two stacks facing outwards to create the desired pressure level distribution. In addition, used four J12s on top of the subwoofers as nearfills, unfolded along the front edge of the stage, as well as Y-Series elements for monitoring tasks.

To the right and left of the DJ, Two stacks were placed (Approximately at eye level), consisting of three Y8s and two Y-SUBs. "This arrangement generated enough air vibration and sound to meet the specific levels that DJs might want. as a whole, The D System&b offered a great sensory spectacle", says Weiser.

Before the performances, Pave did careful planning of the system, during which the team ran detailed simulations of the festival system in ArrayCalc. The sound system was designed to offer an alternating stereo effect, so that the audience standing between two speaker positions would always perceive the stereophonic sound.

To direct the sound towards the stage to the fans who were located in the general dance area, Added a delay on the speakers on the back, whose challenge was to strike the right balance between sound direction and stereo effect.

For Benjamin Lechner, pavé, "The sound produced in other areas of the venue's party did not affect the sound heard in the main area. Electronic music experts couldn't stop admiring and praising the sound quality on the outdoor dance floor, enjoying every second of the festival".
