With an area of 868 m2 in which the past, present and future of exploitation of natural resources in Spain, as well as sustainable use of the planet and its energy sources will show, it will feature various types of audiovisual systems, immersive, sensory and synchronized.
Spanish Cultural Action (AC / E), The public body responsible for managing the presence of Spain in the Universal and International Exhibition, has selected Acciona Productions and Design (APD), next to Frade Arquitectos, To carry out the design and implementation of the pavilion that will represent Spain in the Astana International Exhibition 2017 (Kazakhstan), which will take place from 10 June to 10 September.
In addition, APD also be responsible for the execution of two floors museum National Pavilion of Kazakhstan, as host country, will be the nerve center of this exhibition whose theme is 'Energy for the future'.
Specifically, the Pavilion of Spain will have as leitmotiv the slogan 'Spain, energy for the planet' and the contents will focus on disseminating the importance of the problem of climate change and efforts to combat it being carried out in our country .
With an area of 868 m2, distributed in a single plant with a height of 8 meters, in this space the past, present and future of exploitation of natural resources in Spain it will be shown as well as the need to return through innovation, to treat the planet and its energy resources responsibly and sustainably.
The central space of the pavilion will be designed as a large square or forum, around which there is a group of houses from different periods of the history of Spain, which will show a metaphorical representation of the 'global village'.
Visitors will enter in its journey through the Spanish flag on a journey where they discover the great global village, from the perspective of the exploitation of national natural resources as well as to treat the planet and its energy sources responsibly, under the premise of sustainability. The Spain Pavilion will be located in the cluster C1, located north of the Expo Astana, along with Germany, Monaco and the Netherlands.

Por otra parte, APD ha resultado igualmente adjudicataria del desarrollo e implantación museográfica de la primera y segunda planta del Pabellón Nacional de Kazajstán, país anfitrión de la expo, diseñado como una esfera con ocho niveles; cada uno de ellos dedicado a un tipo de energía: hidráulica, del espacio, solar y eólica, biomasa y cinética. En el último nivel se informará a los visitantes sobre el futuro de Astaná, la capital de Kazakstán en 2050.
APD is responsible for the execution of the exhibition area of 2,400m2, on the basis of the 'Sphere', where the national flag is located, and the second level, dedicated to hydropower, with an area of 800 m2. The International Exhibition Astana 2017 expects to raise between 10 June and 10 September, 130 official participants, with 112 states and 18 international organizations (many of them dedicated to the field of energy), and attract more than three million visitors.
