Scotland's National Stadium in Glasgow (United Kingdom), Hampden Park, and the Scottish Football Association (Scottish Football Association – Scottish FA) have trusted in Daktronics to design, manufacture and install two new LED video displays that double in size to those that existed previously. The dimensions of each display are 5,49 meters high by 19,75 wide with 13HD solution, specific to Daktronics.

“Screens improve the viewer experience, as they add color and vitality to the stadium. We spent time analyzing UEFA Euro 2016 to understand how we could achieve full integration of the event, combining complete information with spectacular actions and content to viewers. We believe these new screens will allow Hampden Park to host a UEFA Euro 2020 first level", adds Andrew Niven, project leader UEFA Euro 2020 of the Scottish FA.

“Daktronics took over the entire project in a very tight time frame and with the highest level of professionalism. From the disassembly of the previous screens, through the installation of the steel structure, until the assembly of the screens with the realization of the commissioning, different tests and schedules. Its success in the complex and strict bidding process was due to its level of quality, and their abilities to manage projects and carry out the facilities", declares Peter Dallas, managing director of Hampden Park Ltd. "The coordination and management of the project with all the parties involved was impeccable in each phase.. The result was an exceptional installation with which we are very satisfied".

“By having a larger viewing area we increase the chances of sharing more digital content than before, opening up new creative possibilities for our brands and offering complete information to viewers. Displaying logos in a more attractive environment, emulating 3D, makes the visual experience more interesting and draws attention to the screen. New creatives for player presentations and animated graphics help improve impact on key moments of the match. One more consequence of the bright colors offered by the new screens”, adds Dallas.

"We are very pleased to have been selected for this project and to have the opportunity to contribute to delivering an impressive experience to the fans who will be attending the next UEFA EURO. 2020 at Hampden Park," said Ewan Prentice, Daktronics regional manager. "After this installation, we will support Hampden Park and the Scotish FA in all future events they will host at this stadium.".
