Panasonic Corporation has announced the launch of the new PT-D5000 projector in Europe. This new range of projectors has measurable improvements over the projectors of the series 4000 in three main areas: image quality, configuration flexibility and easy maintenance. In line with Panasonic's environmental commitment, the PT-D5000 achieves a low level of consumption during the standby time of 0.3W, below the maximum limit of 0.5W to be reached by this type of product in January 2010, imposed by the European Union. Markus Ries, Panasonic's Chief Technology Officer in Europe, has pointed out with regard to the new PT-D5000 that “we are witnessing a large increase in demand for the first products with operation 24/7 and Dual Lamp technology, which we launched for the first time in 2002”. Panasonic's advanced LAN control ensures fast system setup and management, easy and flexible, and that adapt to the short installation times that are frequent in classrooms and seminar rooms. To counteract the lack of image detail when the projector is used in well-lit environments or in daylight, the Daylight View system 2 Panasonic improves public perception of brightness by adjusting sharpness, gamma curves and color corrections. Harmut Kulessa, Panasonic Projector Marketing Manager, has featured “than companies like Vodafone, Infoscreen or Carlson Wagonlit choose Panasonic products for their dynamic signage projects highlights the versatility and technical sophistication of our range of projectors”.
