Taiwanese firm AOpen, Digital Signage Solutions Manufacturer, continues to expand its product portfolio and following the launch of the DE3100 Digital Engine last week, has just announced a new model, DE5100, A high-performance, reliable digital signage media player for small details.

The Complete Solution Provider for Digital Signage AOpen has announced the launch of the new Digital Engine DE5100, It is built on Intel's high-performance Sandy Bridge platform and is capable of delivering 1080p video and 3D effects while meeting the needs of digital signage and high-end applications. In addition, can generate two video signals via DisplayPort and DVI-I ports for a dual-display setup.

The DE5100 features a compact size of 1.25L, which makes it ideal for application situations in rooms with limited space. It is powered by the latest Intel HM65 chipset for second-generation Core i3/i5/i7 processors (TDP ≦35 watts) to deliver high compute capacity. It has 2 USB ports 3.0 on the back panel (and 2 USB ports 2.0 Front) to offer a data transfer rate of up to 5 Gbps, Optional m-SATA, Wi-Fi, and digital/analog TV tuner card via 2 Mini card slots. All these features are brought together in a compact volume of 1.25L to achieve the lowest energy consumption.

The AOpen DE5100 is equipped with a DDRIII SO-DIMM memory of 1066 Dual-channel MHz. The Intel HM65 chipset and the GMA 3000 allow you to deliver seamless 1080p video playback and outstanding real-time 3D rendering to meet the needs of various applications. For audio, you can give HD audio output to create an immersive listening experience through your Realtek HD AUDIO ALC662 chipset. It also features Gigabit LAN and a COM port (RS232) for greater connection capacity.
