The City Council of Getafe has installed electronic information panels in 7 bus stops that will allow travelers to know the waiting time until the arrival of the next bus by means of a luminous marker.

Getafe has real-time information panels at seven bus stops in the town. With this measure, which in its first phase is developed in these seven points, Getafe City Council welcomes the Interurban Transport Modernization Plan promoted by the Regional Transport Consortium of the Community of Madrid.

With these electronic panels, using satellite tracking technologies, travelers waiting at the stops can be informed, in real time, of the number of minutes remaining for the arrival of the next bus. That remaining time is reflected in minutes on a luminous marker and, In addition, each panel has a voice information system to facilitate information to blind travelers.

The stops that have these panels are located on Rigoberta Menchú Avenue, Buenos Aires Avenue, Madrid Street, Manzana Street, Avenue of Juan Carlos I, Avenida de los Reyes Católicos and Avenida de España.
