Barcelona's Agbar Tower welcomes the new year with special lighting

The Agbar Tower has congratulated the new year to the citizens of the whole world and in particular to those of Barcelona with a special lighting and a welcome message in four languages: Catalan, Spanish, English and French.

To dismiss 2012 and usher in the new year, the iconic building designed by French architect Jean Nouvel has been turned on and off emulating the traditional twelve chimes of New Year's Eve.

The building, located in Plaça Glòries, It has also offered on its façade a spectacle of light and color that has lasted until one in the morning. Agbar's corporate headquarters will display, In addition, special Christmas lighting, in which the animations of the star and the Christmas tree offer a play of lights and colors that are combined, every five minutes, with a static image of the characteristic Christmas tree, and which will continue until 6 January.
