The audiovisual systems used in the pavilion of the Palau Sant Jordi and the Port Vell, during the World Aquatics Championships: Barcelona 2013, were supplied and installed by Sono.

Last summer Barcelona hosted the XV World Aquatics Championships (Barcelona 2013), organized by the Federation Internatonale de Natation (FINE) and the Royal Spanish Swimming Federation (RFEN). During 17 days Barcelona became the center of attention where swimming competitions were held, Synchronized swimming, Jumps, Open Water Swimming, water polo and, For the first time in the history of these championships, High jumps. Six sports that were organized in four facilities and were attended by 267.000 Spectators.

Estos espectáculos deportivos contaron con una gran despliegue de medios audiovisuales de cuya puesta en marcha se encargó la empresa con sede en Barcelona y Madrid especializada en estos servicios Sono, igual que los hiciera en los Mundiales de Natación de 2003 celebrados también en la capital catalana. Sono ha sido la responsable del alquiler e instalación de los equipos audiovisuales en el Palau Sant Jordi y Port Vell de Barcelona.

El Palau Sant Jordi fue elegido por los organizadores como el escenario principal de los Campeonatos que se plantearon como reto convertir el pabellón en un gran espectáculo de luz y color. Y para llevar a cabo este proyecto, Sono instaló cinco pantallas: In the fund for the awards ceremony, in the exit of the athletes, in the lap pool and press room.

Port Vell: Sonorization and High Diving

The second location in which Sono participated supplying and installing audiovisual equipment was in the Port Vell of Barcelona, escenario en el que se realizaron las pruebas de saltos de gran altura y natación en aguas abiertas.

Durante el evento estuvo estacionado en esta zona, así como en la Plaza de Cataluña, un camión con radio enlace que tenía en el techo colocada una pantalla LED de 32 square meters and 10 mm resolution.

Durante la competición de aguas abiertas, Sono se responsabilizó de la sonorización y high diving. Esto lo realizó mediante dos torres de seis metros de altura cada una con line array, 16 Meyer M’elodie, así como PA para las gradas con Nexo PS8, PS10 y PS15, mixer digital y diferentes sistemas de microfonía.
