The fourteenth edition of the American Idol program has been the most mediatic in its history thanks to the spectacular presentation, in the form of princess-screen dress, that singer and actress Jennifer Lopez wore during the performance 'Feel the light', theme of the children's animated film 'Home', in which images of the film and special effects were projected.

Composed of two separate pieces of white color, the screen-dress that Jennifer Lopez wore during her performance, presenting the song 'Feel the light', central theme of the animated feature film 'Home', produced by Dreamworks, extended a skirt with a circumference of 6 meters of diameter in which they were projected with the technique of videomapping spectacular special effects and images of the film in high definition.

The project, made by the figurinists Rob Zangardi and Mariel Haenn in collaboration with the creative team of the production company and Jennifer López herself, sought to create an "atmosphere of magic, fantasy and light", in line with the plot of the film, in which the artists Rihanna have also put their voices, Jim Parsons and Steve Martin.

The mapping was not only limited to the artist's dress, that on this occasion she had to remain very still on stage, but flooded the entire stage to create a high-impact visual effect with horizontal and vertical projections.

Precisely the idea of using a dress as a projection canvas (more details on Digital AV Magazine) was held last year at the Grammy gala with artist Carrie Underwood, winner of the Edition of American Idol.
