Sony SRX-R515DS dual solution combines two SRX-R515 projectors, with a luminosity of 30.000 Lumens, that allows 2D presentations, on screens up to 19,5 meters to 48 cd/m2, and 3D, on screens up to 23 meters to 15,5 cd/m2.

This week it was held in Las Vegas CinemaCom and Sony has taken the opportunity to present a dual projection solution that allows to bring 4K image quality to large cinemas. Sony SRX-R515DS combines two SRX-R515 projectors to provide a total brightness of 30 000 Lumens.

This dual system from Sony offers reference lighting levels for 2D presentations on screens up to 19,5 metre, for a functioning to 48 cd/m2 in white screen with gain of 1,8, or for 3D presentations on screens up to 23 metre, for a functioning to 15,5 cd/m2 on silver screen with gain of 2,4 (depending on installation conditions).

Sony SRX-R515Viewers are immersed directly in the action thanks to the realism and richness of color and detail offered by 4K. Endowed with an average contrast ratio of 8000:1, the SRX-R515DS guarantees images with rich and intense blacks and radiant brightness.

Native 4K resolution ensures that movies sent to theaters in 4K DCP format are projected with the highest possible image quality. Even 2K images with 2K DCP format, 3D DCP, or alternative HD content are automatically optimized to a resolution of 4K pixels, now even in 3D mode.

Switching between 2D and 3D presentation is quick and easy, and does not require change of objectives. The incorporation of static 3D filters, included as standard, in the projectors is all you need to modify the system configuration in the different projections. Unlike other 'triple flash' solutions, the 3D image obtained with the SRX-R515DS system is fluid, natural and comfortable for the eyes, as with any Sony Digital Cinema projection system.

Sony SRX-R515The SRX-R515 is a DCI-compliant 4K digital cinema projector that uses a matrix of six high-pressure mercury lamps (HPM), which means that, in addition to offering a spectacular image quality, cinema operators can enjoy easy maintenance and reduced operating cost.

The HPM Multi-Lamp Array (high-pressure mercury) allows quick and easy replacement of the lamp cartridge, no need for special training, wear protective clothing or carry out a realignment. In addition, reduces the risk of 'dark screens', that occur as a result of lamp failures caused by using conventional xenon sources.

SRX-R515DS system projectors can be configured for side-by-side operation or aligned vertically, so that they adapt to any projection stand. Installation is quick and easy, thanks to the intelligent automatic alignment system that ensures precisely calibrated images throughout the screen.

This dual system supplies the XCT-S10 cinema server and the integrated XCT-M10 Media Block. The optional license for Dolby Atmos support, for a fully immersive sound experience, purchased separately.
