The new Unique NanoWrap solution creates a dynamic display space in the three-story height of the atrium and other spaces of the new technology center of excellence from the American supplier of IT services.
CenturyLinkU.S. multinational specialized in hosting, cloud and IT services for businesses, has recently opened a centre of excellence for new technologies to provide customers improvements in its management, analysis and technology consulting, as well as in more than 55 data centers international in which they operate and its fiber optic network.
The new Center, descent of the energy certification Leed, boasts the first atrium of electrochromic glass from the United States, about 3,400 square meters on three floors, where a spectacular display system installed dynamic NanoLumens, bright enough and to withstand the environmental solar light.
This innovative glass-roofed Atrium leverages nanotechnology and pre-programming intelligent systems to automatically change the lighting in response to external conditions and preferences of the user, eliminating the need for blinds or curtains, as occurs with display solution Unique NanoWrap of NanoLumensalso installed in an innovative way.
In particular, the three columns that span the three floors of the Atrium height 'packaged' with screens Led NanoWrap 5 mm from this manufacturer, forming a circular panel of 42 inches in diameter to cover the vertical surface of each column.
Led, composed of thousands of Nixels, the display module patented by NanoLumens, these panels are integrated with architectural elements thus combining design and technology. Each visual column provides a continuous flow of dynamic video that is visible through all the lobby and from any angle of it.
Each screen can display various video content or the three columns to reproduce it synchronously, which are fed with an IPTV content through fiber delivery system of Cisco-AppSpace cloud-based.
NanoWraps screens are associated with the columns by a single circular Assembly, performed for the audiovisual Integrator system American AVL, based in Los Angeles. "CenturyLink wanted to make the lobby a technological experience for its customers and visitors - says one of the project managers-." We look at a lot of possibilities and decided that the columns would have a technological role as an integral part of the aesthetic design. "If we would conventional FlatScreens it would have wrecked the visual dynamic flow, but the flexibility of the NanoWraps, that we could literally wrapped around the columns, offered us the solution that we needed and the result is spectacular" .
This online manifests Ben Cating, consultant of Idibri Consulting, company responsible for the design and planning of this project contracted by CenturyLink, to ensure that "NanoLumens Led screens create a stunning effect in the Hall never seen until now. "It is more than an audiovisual installation: is a visual technological achievement".
NanoWrap screens offer also a high energy efficiency, with a low consumption, an element fundamental to this centre of CenturyLink, pending certification Leed.
