Sony has shown during the recent edition 2015 of IBC in Amsterdam its commitment to videoconferencing applications with the presentation of its new camera SRG-360SHE, a versatile Full HD device that can be managed remotely over the network for use in conference rooms, auditoriums and places of worship, as well as in corporate environments, telemedicine and broadcast applications.

Ready for desktop or ceiling mounting, the camera body features a large Tally lamp that offers presenters, in TV shows, a clear visual indication when in the air. Another advantage is that both IP video and power are made through a single Ethernet connection cable. (PoE+), reducing wiring and simplifying installation.

SRG-360 broadcasts video in Full HD (1.080/60Q) over an IP network connection, with additional outputs that provide simultaneous transmissions via 3G-SDI and HDMI at the same time. This triple transmission capability makes the camera perfect for corporate presentations, webcasts and other events where content can be viewed on a connected monitor, is broadcast live to the web and recorded simultaneously for editing and archiving.

Sony SRG-360SHEImproved PTZ mechanism ensures smooth and stable camera movements for flawless, professional coverage of any scene. The spinning movements, Independent tilt and zoom can be synchronized to start and end at the same time, in addition to predefining the position of a camera to give way at any time.

Exmor CMOS image sensor ensures excellent low-light sensitivity. View-DR and XDNR functions improve image quality in areas with strong backlights or low light, with a wide field of view to cover all the people in the room.

The camera incorporates a 30x optical zoom and a digital zoom to capture high-quality close-ups of distant objects. In addition, it is possible to view the images live through a browser for PC or mobile device, which can also recover up to 256 camera position settings.

Another advantage is that the stereo audio of the microphone can also be adjusted, connected via equalizer, and automatic level control, that adds clarity and quality to the nuances of voice. It also has an automatic lip sync function to eliminate annoying mismatches between image and sound.

Sony SRG-360SHE can be controlled remotely using Visca protocol commands over IP or RS-422. The camera's built-in web browser also allows for easy control and preview of images from any networked PC.
