The project 'Fragments' of the designer Sonia Carrasco and Exploradores15, presented at the Samsung EGO showroom within the framework of the recent edition of the Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Madrid (MBFWM), is a pioneer in applying virtual reality to the world of fashion and the wearables.
Technology and fashion have again demonstrated their innovative combination with the creation of ' Fragments can not be easy', the first Fashion Film 360 ° type of the collection of designer Sonia Carrasco, presented in the latest edition of MBFWM and supported by Samsung and powered by IED Moda Lab Madrid, with the goal of producing a series of videos with this innovative format to support projects of the former students of the school.
'Fragments', developed in Exploradores15 (an experience of collaboration and collective learning in the uninhabited island of San Simón in Redondela, Pontevedra), presents the collection of this former alummna of IED Moda Lab Madrid through a Fashion Film in which a same model appears on the scene in a way multiplied, with different looks in nature, creating binaural and stereoscopic 3D virtual reality experience.
We has used the device's virtual reality Samsung Gear VR Innovator Edition, with a performance with five models dressed in the collection fall-winter 2015 / 2016 Sonia Carrasco, creating a simulation of the video with live music while the models appeared individually to get a joint final image.
This presentation, given at the Samsung EGO in MBFWM showroom, has counted with the presence of Toño Cabanelas, director of Exploradores15 and CEO of Bermuda Innovation Hub, company in charge of the production together with Mhorkley Inmersive Imaging, and Alfonso Fernández, head of corporate marketing for Samsung.

This project will be on display at IED Madrid until next September 30, so that interested parties can enjoy both the experience of immersion in the video with Samsung Gear VR Innovator Edition, as a visual and sound exposure of Toño Cabanelas inspired by the collection ' Fragments can not be easy'.
Samsung Ego Innovation Project
Also part of the fourth edition Samsung Ego Innovation Project at MBFWM, has been presented the winning project of the same: ' Walking up the mountains', María Glück Designer, with a proposal for eight garments created with sustainable fabrics (recycled fiber and) organic).
These designs include the luminescent backpack, which incorporates algae capable of emitting light in the darkness to get movement and cleanse the environment, at the time that a visual/aesthetic effect; the development of Botany technology with self-sustaining ecosystems in garments such as the pared-jardin, or garments that allow grow live plants through holes in the tissues (Garden-Embroidery and Growing Embroidery).
