The goal of the project is to reduce checkout time with its modular solutions and make customer buying an easier process, fast and intuitive.

Toshiba Uvesco

The Food Distribution Group Uvesco, with more than 216 supermarkets spread throughout Spain and with the forecast of continuing to expand their network after the acquisition of the Gigante chain last year, has signed an agreement with Toshiba to incorporate its specialized retail technology to its entire network and improve the flow of customers in store.

In a first phase, Uvesco will install the solutions of the Japanese multinational in seven of its supermarkets during the next three months, with the forecast of extending it to a large part of its centers in the next two years.

Toshiba SCO System 6 UvescoAmong other solutions contemplated in the agreement, the integration in the establishments of SCO System stands out 6, a sales terminal composed of three modules (Scanning, payment and bagging of products), that can be combined according to the particularities of each center, thus improving the available space and the peaks of checkout.

The modular capability of Toshiba's retail technology has been one of the highlights of Uvesco, along with its easy adaptation to the group's sales applications.

As José Manuel Ferrer has pointed out, by Uvesco, "We have a long relationship with Toshiba, What, in recent years, has helped us in the development of our business and has been able to evolve providing solutions for customers".
