The show, produced and reproduced with the Watchout system is a chronicle of 14 minutes and 10 seconds of duration, which represents the story about how Adiyogi transmitted the ancient science of Yoga to his seven disciples (called Saptrarishis), to your beloved, Devi Parvati and her teammates, the 'formless Ganas'. The founder of Isha, Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev, complements 4K content with a background narrative.

The center named Axis Three Dee Studios to execute the project from start to finish., including full production of the images with CEO Avijit Samajdar, assuming the role of producer and director.

Epson projectors were also used in the staging to ensure that the show is performed with maximum impact to reach visitors and devotees in a visually immersive way..

Black surface

The statue of Adiyogi, which holds the Guinness World Record for the largest bust in the world, is built in steel and painted black. The satin finish and highly uneven topography demanded creative thinking from the Axis Three Dee Studios team..

“Projection mappings are usually performed on lighter colored surfaces that reflect light evenly., unlike black, that largely absorbs it. In addition, the gloss on the surface meant the right colors didn't appear and the team designed a unique color palette (real-time color cancellation process) to counteract the interference tones of the glossy surface", comments Avijit Samajdar, CEO of Axis Three Dee Studios.

Another challenge was the magnitude of the project.. The entire surface to be projected was more than 2.438 square meters. For full-image coverage with crisp, vibrant images, were used 24 high-tech laser projectors 15.000 Epson lumens, running under Dataton Watchout, in a stacking configuration.

“Due to certain restrictions inherent in the locations for the permanent configuration of the two projection towers, the technical team arranged the projectors in four stacked sets, to ensure maximum optimization of lumens and the angle of incidence of the projected light", explains Avijit Samajdar.

blankThe center did not want to have a projection tower built in front of the adiyogi statue, as this could obstruct the view and visitors. The solution was to build two towers, of limited height, at angles of 45 Degrees. "The left tower covers the entire left side of the statue and the right covers the right side", comments Ashok Sharma of Dataton.

“The mapped program was programmed into the Watchout production software by Manesh 'Manu' Kadam and then we deployed two Watchmax media servers to ensure a perfect mapping of the content on the surface of the Adiyogi., from the left and right sides. The servers are also integrated with the sound of 5.1 from Sirvinder Pal Singh's program (Lucky Singh), founder of Purple Vector, responsible for the overall integration of the AV system”.

The Watchout system was chosen for its track record as a reliable and versatile tool for mapping applications.
