With more than 2.100 Rooms, South Point Hotel, not only does it offer maximum comfort to its guests during their stay in Las Vegas, but the possibility of enjoying your casino, of the riding track, with capacity in stands of 4.400 seats, a spacious exhibition hall, a boutique spa and more.

alongside 2.300 video poker machines and slots, a poker room and a bingo hall, South Point Casino has separate areas for betting on horse racing and sporting events, known as Race Book and Sports Book, respectively.

In order to provide the ideal experience for these two different types of gambling, South Point Casino Hired Nevada AV Integrator TGM Systems to equip this installation with a sophisticated Networked AV system of AMX of Harman Professional Solutions, distributed in Spain AVIT Vision.

As Andrew Binder explains, AV director at South Point (in the image below), "Racing bettors and sports cars are two different types of people., with specific needs. To better serve our customers, we split our betting area in half, with a room for sports betting (Sports Book) and another for racing (Race Book).

Although both rooms share a similar layout and are equipped with large format screens along a wall and rows of personal monitors for each player, each of them required a different AV configuration, adapted to the formats of horse racing and traditional sporting events.

In addition, in the Sports Book it is common for several programs to be transmitted simultaneously, so it required the ability to switch between multiple TV and Internet broadcasts on the fly, since the room Race Bookhas its own requirements.

"We looked for a couple of different options to get sixteen smaller screens., integrated into a display surface -binder points out-. With the SVSI system we were able to put sixteen inputs on a single screen, which was very important to our Race Book management team, as they need to see all the floodgates of the tracks, as well as when horses enter the gate at the same time to choose which race is available to bet on.. Having that solution for multivision has been one of the great challenges that through AMX and SVSI we have achieved".

blankTMG Systems chose the Networked AV SVSI equipment to meet the needs of its customers with a flexible system, scalable and cost-effective. SVSI encoders and decoders support real-time video resolutions up to 4K at 60fps and comply with the latest HDCP content protection protocol 2.2, ensuring safe and high-quality media distribution.

SVSI control units offer complete and intuitive functionality, making it easier for casino staff to instantly send any video signal to any monitor on the network. Its window processors allow you to combine, freely resize and position multiple sources with ease.

In addition to its power and flexibility, integrators highly value its ease of installation, as Rick Malone points out, Senior Design Engineer, TMG Systems (top image): "My favorite feature of the AMX SVSI solution is the product commissioning. It is very easy to implement. Especially with a system as big as this, with hundreds of endpoints, it can be quite daunting to implement such a system., and with SVSI it has been very simple".

The new AV architecture in South Point's Race Book and Sports Book has been so effective that Binder says it will soon expand to encompass other areas of the casino as well..

"I can imagine this system growing in other spaces.. I already received feedback from our poker room manager about the possibility of growing this AMX control system and the point-to-point routing system there.. Our bars could scale in a controllable scenario as well. It's about expanding the system, with the advantage of being able to network, which is one of the key elements of how good the system is".
