The Lexington-based racetrack (Kentucky) has been relying on Daktronics technology for the latest 15 years. now, renews its giant screens by reducing the Line Spacing of Led pixel.

Daktronics in Keewneland

Keeneland Association, which has keeneland Racecourse for thoroughbred equestrian competitions in Lexington (Kentucky), has commissioned to Daktronics six new Led screens. Five displays replace existing signage with higher resolution, and a new screen has been added to the paddock area of the enclosure.

Keeneland's Director of Broadcast Services, G.D. Hieronymus, stresses that "the experience, manufacturing, the customer support and services offered by Daktronics are unmatched and we know that our displays will perform at the highest level for years to come., offering spectacular entertainment to our customers”.

The new main screen presents a DVX 15HD solution improving the resolution with respect to the screens that Daktronics installed in 2006 and that they had 23 millimetres of pixel. The renewed screen maintains the dimensions of 5,7 meters high by 11,7 meters wide.

Each of the four screens flanking the main video screen have been enhanced with a resolution of 16 Mm, in front of the 23 previous millimeters. Its dimensions are 2,8 meters high by 11,7 meters wide. These resolutions are perfectly optimal for the visual distances existing in this installation..

A novelty in this internationally known racecourse is a screen with a resolution of 6 millimeters in the paddock area. Measures one meter high by 9,1 meters wide and is used to display information about bets, races and other details about upcoming competitions.

Five field screens combine for live video sharing, as well as betting and information on races and future competitions. The six Led screens can also be used for other events held at the racecourse such as the horse auction, another of Keeneland's business areas.
