The well-known Danish DJ and music producer Martin Jensen has used the systems of Steal to create a unique experience, under the design made by Mathias Skall, of Frontsound.

The period of the pandemic will surely be remembered for many things, including the invention and creativity of the entertainment and technical production industry, que en este periodo ha mostrado su capacidad y decisión de mantener la música y la actuación accesibles y vivas durante una crisis sanitaria mundial, with the consequent isolation.

The Danish DJ and music producer Martin Jensen has offered a series of live concerts in unexpected locations, innovators and unique people of this country, as in the Parken Stadium Copenhagen; aboard the Royal Danish Navy frigate HDMS Niels Juhl and on the historicremos boat Hjejlen; at the top of the forest tower of the nature reserve Camp Adventure in R'nnede, and in the famous department stores Illum Copenhagen.

In all of them he has mixed dance rhythms with the concept of “intervention” artistic, delighting his thousands of fans and so many others who tuned in Twitch to follow the concert.

Lighting designer Mathias Skall Hansen, of Frontsound, has been responsible for all concerts on this tour being unique experiences, both visually and sound.

For five of the seven shows, Mathias Skall specified and used quantities of different mobile lights from the Czech manufacturer Steal -specifically systems MegaPointe, Spiider, BMFL-, supplied by the Danish rental company Nordic Rentals.

Frontsound, specialized in visual design and SFX, has worked with Martin Jensen since starting his international career in 2014. The artist is heavily involved in the production of all his shows and greatly values the power of lighting and visuals in concerts.

As Robe is one of Mathias Skall's favorite mobile light brands, especially the MegaPointe model, specified this device for all shows, where his starting point was camera angles, including aerial shots with drones.

Getting that 360-degree central shot was the key to achieving amazing optical factors and capturing the symmetry and shape of lighting schemes in each case. “These systems are very powerful, with good color mix and selection of gobos, very fast, easy to program and, above all, reliable and well-designed”, Skall says

For the show at the Parken Stadium Copenhagen, the artist stood right in the middle of the field, with your DJ booth installed on a 10-floor video×10 metre. Around this was three concentric circles of moving lights, the first and the second were used 42 Robe BMFL Spots, and the third outer ring used 56 MegaPointe.

These devices were chosen for their intensity and impact, Skall created a series of fantastic kaleidoscopic effects and geometric shapes, that were combined with video content and SFX for aerial shots, along with multiple high-impact pyrotechnic signals.

The Frigate Niels Juhl, of 139 metres in the ass, was anchored at the naval base in Korser at the time of the concert. Martin Jensen's DJ dishes were installed on the helipad, together with twenty-four MegaPointe arranged in the form of V behind him, used to create various camera patterns and effects, while the FOH area was installed in the helicopter hangar, located immediately behind.

Special effects included flames and gas jets, while Martin Jensen's signature fireworks were mounted on barges that were around the ship to get a great panorama.

The challenge of this performance was to crane transport all the equipment to the ship, for which the Navy accepted the celebration of the show and made available its resources.

For its part, Hjejlen is one of the oldest shovel steamships in the world, built in 1861 and now used to transport tourists between Silkeborg, where it's tied up, and Himmelbjerget, one of Denmark's highest points. The picturesque Silkeborg is also Martin's hometown, so this show was a great event for him.

The ship is considerably smaller than the Niels Juhl, so there was only room for the DJ booth and minimal battery-powered wireless Led lights on the deck. He hid a smoke machine in the boiler room and fed the atmosphere from behind, with all the main elements of lighting and effects: twenty-four MegaPointe deployed on pontoons mounted around the ship at the port, with FOH control in another.

the Camp Adventure Tower is located in the middle of a forest climbing park in the stunning forests of Gisselfeld Klosters, in SoutheastErn Zealand. The show took place at the top of this spectacular glass-shaped observation tower, of 45 m.s. height.

The technical team uploaded the entire TEAM of the DJ and the MegaPointe, they were placed right on the top level of the tower. The devices were distributed equidistantly through the top loop and their patterns were programmed into sequences that fit the shape of the tower. They were the main visual effects, pyrotechnics could not be used due to the wooded environment and the large amount of fauna and flora.

Luxury department stores Illum Copenhagen were the venue of the last show in this series. Known as one of the most exclusive and architecturally interesting shopping destinations in the city, its huge main atrium features a white marble finish.

Martin Jensen's dishes were installed on a platform located right in the center of space, to 16 meters from the ground and approximately at the height of the third floor. To accentuate the opulent interior, Mathias Khall used 86 Led Robe Spiider beams of light, deployed around the ground floor and on the first three floors, which allowed to illuminate the entire interior of the building and the commercial areas.

The sixteen MegaPointes used for this show were placed in a circle on the ground, directly under the flying DJ elevator. Two Robe BMFL Spots were also used at one end to shoot gobos all over the atrium, including the structure of the escalator in front.

“Each show was completely unique," Khall recalls., and even though you had an initial idea about how it was going to all work, the design had to be flexible enough to change it and adapt it to find the best solution once in place”.

This designer programmed and operated the lighting of all concerts, where the sets used to last between four and five hours, with the grandMA3 light console MA Lighting.

Frontsound also coordinated the audio and provided pyrotechnics and special effects in the places where they were used. Trust Rental was the video provider for Illum and Parken's performances, while the drone sequences were supplied by Book1drone and the cameras by Mike Sonderby AT Rafnpv.
