Instronic Aqua Building

The lobby of the Aqua office building in Madrid has become an immersive space when traversed, fruit of the project of Instronic, with dynamic studio content Deluxe, with water as a common thread.

Located in the center of Madrid, the office building Aqua, developed by RKV and designed by the architect Pedro Sentieri consists of ten floors, whose entrance hall offers an immersive experience to those who visit it; a unique visual identity, differential and iconic defined and executed by Instronic.

“RKV asked us to design a solution for the entrance hall of its new Aqua office building., providing it with a strong identity that would serve as a pole of attraction for future tenants and that would become a reference space in the Madrid office market”.

The project focused on transforming the entrance area of this building: a lobby of 71 M. of length and 5 of height that crosses the entire building connecting longitudinally its two main facades, in a immersive space and an inspiring environment when traversed.

To unify this space and give it continuity, the Instronic team made a different design, since it was previously intended as a corridor open to the outside, and conceive it as a channel for the access flows of the users of the building.

The final design is based on a huge Led wall in the form of L, with a surface of some 190 m2, which acts as the main element of the entire space, with an important influence on the ambience and colorimetry of the space.

“The idea was to treat the contents in an artistic context that would decorate and transform the lobby and the main entrance of the Aqua building., with water as a common thread, which has been divided into four blocks: Flow, Nature, Underwater and Textures (stream, nature, submarine and textures)”, underline from Instronic.

With this vision and from an artistic point of view, content tries ‘accompany’ to the visitor on the lobby tour, with images and immersive language, in which the study participated Deluxe, with Nacho Platero in charge of creative direction.

In the block Underwater, the content immerses the visitor in the underwater world to enhance the immersive character of the installation, adapting the recreation of underwater scenarios to the large volume of the Led screen.

in Flow a content based on fluids and inks produced in macro has been made on a model, that replicates the shape of the screen at scale, so that it plays with the geometry of this.

For the block of Textures “it is played with the fluid as the central axis of the piece, trying to move away from the more hyperrealistic representation. The content plays with the essence of moving water and its relationship with the environment”, explain from the company.

in Nature scenes of spectacular landscapes made with the technique of matte painting, ad-hoc scenarios with very slow images of nature, where water is the protagonist, also created by the Deluxe team.
