Multisensory art

AIR is the immersive multi-space experience designed by Kenzo Digital for Summit One Vanderbilt. It starts in Transcendence 1, that mixes transparency and reflectivity, creating the illusion of unlimited space, facing the world in an infinite universe without fixed form or limit.

with Affinity, the history of AIR evolves, becomes playful and interactive, as visitors are invited to physically connect with the hundreds of reflective orbs looming around them.

This evolves with the viewpoint of the mezzanine of Transcendence 2, where visitors revel in a new perspective and witness the reactions of new visitors entering the space at the bottom.

AIR story concludes with Unity, as each visitor becomes part of the experience itself, his three-dimensional portrait transformed into a cloud in an animated celestial landscape in constant change.

At night, the magic of AIR changes drastically as Transcendence 1, 2 and Affinity are transformed through a story of light and sound , becoming a beacon of energy, visible to all of New York City and beyond.

"Air is a love letter to New York, an immersive artistic experience that is a living, breathing entity, expressed through its multisensory use of material choice, sound, lighting and production design. It is a story that evolves with each successive space, taking visitors into an ever deeper experience until they finally become part of it.", Explains Kenzo Digital, Artist and CEO of Kenzo Digital Immersive.

The experience in Unity is backed by a huge Samsung video wall of 228,6 seamless square meters.

"At Samsung, we have a vision of how to embrace and link the human experience with our cutting-edge Led technology", Says Harry Patz, Senior Vice President and General Manager, Display Division, Samsung Electronics America . “We are proud to partner with SL Green to fulfill their vision of creating an immersive environment of Unity and Empowerment by showcasing our product IWJ Wall Series in this iconic place in New York City”.
