The audio infrastructure of the leisure and entertainment center Odysseus of Murcia is based on a Quantum digital console 225 of DiGiCo, with a powerful Quantum Engine, and 4REA4 processors supplied by RMS Proaudio, supplier of AV equipment and distributor of the brand in Spain.

With a surface of 15.500 m2, Distributed in three levels, Odysseus is a unique leisure space in Murcia that has three restaurants, a sports bar, a nightclub, a performance hall and several terraces, as well as the largest swimming pool in Europe, suspended to 27 meters from the ground.

This space has an impressive audio infrastructure, including processors 4REA4 and a console Quantum 225 of DiGiCo, supplied by RMS Proaudio, distributor of this manufacturer in Spain.

Odysseus Murcia Digico RMS Proaudiothe Group Orenes, owner of Odysseus, hired the sound design consultant for this project Lolo Molds, who worked closely with the RMS Proaudio team to perform the audio installation.

A project that, as Moldes points out it is "architecturally dazzling and unique in every way. I was motivated by the team's ambition to have a complete AV infrastructure installed in this new complex., that would have the same look and style as some of the best entertainment venues in Las Vegas.".

With only three months to the official opening of Odysseus, Moldes planned the audio setup for this space, with the selection of DiGiCo systems due to their simple architecture, Solid sound quality and powerful processing.

As he explains Isidro Carrasco, technical director of Odysseus, "We knew that the systems we installed would be used by our engineers for their own shows., as well as by the visiting sound engineers of international artists. So, Ease of use was one of our top priorities, along with sound quality and durability, and DiGiCo ticked all our boxes.".

Odysseus Murcia Digico RMS ProaudioOriginally, RMS Proaudio, AV equipment supplier based in Seville, installed three consoles SD11i of DiGiCo in different areas of the enclosure. Following the launch of Quantum 225 in 2021, Odysseus' team changed one of them for this small format digital console with a powerful Quantum Engine.

"We were satisfied with the SD11i consoles., but when Quantum 225 came to the market we did what was already part of the DNA of Grupo Orenes: invest in the latest technology, says Carrasco, says. The Quantum engine offers us a great improvement in the sound of our dinner with show, And it's fantastic to combine with the nodal processing feature on the monitoring side.. We love the Optical compressor Mustard, as it gives us greater flexibility and additional control within a mix.".

In addition to consoles, DiGiCo's 4REA4 system processors have also been installed to provide routing, mixing processing and control in Odysseus' multi-space enclosure.

Odysseus Murcia Digico RMS ProaudioFor mixing monitors, RMS Proaudio supplied a surround sound mixing processor KLANG:Vokal, allowing up to twelve musicians to create their own mix from twenty-four mono or stereo sources, perfect for Odysseus' varied show program.

"Thanks to KLANG:vowel, the Odysseus team was able to significantly improve the experience for resident artists and visitors, Since it offers much more clarity and spatiality to monitoring systems in ear", Says Manu Meñaca, RMS Proaudio technical support and training department.

After the installation is complete, Odysseus' technical team received full training on DiGiCo and KLANG systems, In addition, RMS Proaudio continues to offer full support.

"We are very happy with the election.. For the Odysseus management system we use two 4REA4 processors, from which we execute to 150 channels in around 80 buses. We have series remote controllers A-Control of DiGiCo scattered throughout the complex for different functions. The system is perfect for our use and the three DiGiCo consoles we employ, along with the five D2-Racks They give us the sound quality and settings we need.", concludes Carrasco.
