Playmedia Group has designed and executed a large-format project in the Basilica of Montserrat, province of Barcelona, transforming this iconic place into a unique immersive experience.

Based in Barcelona, Playmedia Group is an international business group that develops projects related to leisure, Tourism, Culture, retail, mass consumption… Design and produce dynamic space projects, to attract visitors and spread messages or brand values.

Through the image, The Light, Music, Art and architecture revives the thousand years of history like never before, faith and culture of Basilica of Montserrat. One Sensory journey that connects the past and the present, inviting you to rediscover this millenary symbol from a new perspective.

A global project in which an audio system has been created, lighting and projection using the 3LCD technology Epson to accompany the experience. More than 2,5 Millions of visitors will be able to enjoy this Immersive audiovisual experience.

The immersive experience It is made up of three stages that invite reflection on key issues: Creation, The Virgin and Christ. All created with a great technical and narrative deployment using Epson's 3LCD technology to project the images.

Whoever visits the Basilica begins to awaken their emotions with an initial murmur of voices, that evokes the multitude of languages of pilgrims and visitors of these thousand years of Montserrat's history. Like this, The light is becoming the place, until we get to the first stage.

Stage 1: Creation

A creative light is the protagonist of this chapter of the experience, reflecting the majesty of nature and its ability to lead us to the contemplation of God. Creation is shown as a manifestation of divine beauty, placing Montserrat as a sample of paradise on earth, with its mountain landscape, trees, River and birds singing dominating the scene.

Background, the campaigns accompany the chapels and hermitages of the Basilica, while the image highlights angels and prophets at nightfall, under the tears of San Lorenzo.

Stage 2: the Virgin

Subirachs' sculpture of the Chapel of the Blessed Sacrament serves as artistic inspiration for its simple shapes, to project the image of Christ.

These teams are a 50% lighter and more compact than their predecessors, which makes them ideal for installations that require flexibility.
