PPDS and True Performance bring mission-critical control to the Philips dvLED lineup
The screens Philips Pantone color-certified 4K and 8K dvLED combine the technologies of PPDS and True Performance. Supports resolutions up to 7680×4320, frame rates of 240 Hz, Advanced grayscale and color fidelity, in addition to almost zero latency.
PPDS has partnered with True Performance to carry the Mission Critical Control to the new range of Philips dvLED 4K and 8K displays with Pantone Color Certification. This technology alliance sets new standards in visual optimization and expands the range in the evolution of PPDS solutions for highly secure and sensitive control environments, including government, Military, public safety, Control and meeting rooms, and research centers.
Ready for commercialization in Government environments and the Ministry of Defense, This partnership maintains PPDS' focus and commitment to delivering 'complete solutions' in the dvLED market, adding ample opportunities and capabilities for mission-critical environments, where data security and video quality are key.
Founded in 1992 and based in Kassel, Germany, and with an international team and presence, True Performance specializes in research, design, development and production of Led solutions for commercial and professional applications.
The new series Philips True Performance dvLED, including panels and controllers, will be manufactured and calibrated in Europe, expanding the PPDS portfolio of Secure, military-grade displays TAA compliant (What's included in Philips Signage 4000 D-Line Series and Philips X-Line video wall).
Synchronized brightness
This range, that was released in ISE, sets new standards in visual perfection. Combines PPDS and True Performance technologies and allows you to enjoy resolutions up to 7680×4320, frame rates of 240 Hz, Advanced grayscale and color fidelity, in addition to almost zero latency, ensuring optimal conditions for playback through camera systems.
"For this new range, we are augmenting the already proven benefits of our leading Philips Unite Led line with the new True Performance functionality to create an entirely new total solution. Production in Europe makes it even more attractive, as our global product managers and technical support are based here and many of our customers request a solution made in Europe and TAA compliant. And, of course, with the color accuracy that can now be achieved, is ideal for our partners who need that perfect brand representation, for example, with Oracle Red Bull Racing", Says Jeroen Brants, dvLED Global Product Manager for PPDS.
True Performance technologies broke new ground in 2024, when the company became the first dvLED solution provider to become certified Pantone Validated and Pantone SkinTone Validated, which certifies and guarantees color accuracy.
More than 10 millions of designers and producers around the world trust Pantone, A recognized leader in color development and communication, that provides a benchmark for color capability and accuracy in monitors and displays. Pantone SkinTone Validated certifies that screens can authentically reproduce a diverse set of skin tones.
This offers new opportunities beyond command and control environments, equally beneficial for companies where clarity and color accuracy are vital.
While today most images are digital in the design and revision phase, Design studios in automotive showrooms (and other manufacturing industries), Fashion brands, Virtual production, high-end conference and boardrooms and public places (such as museums) will benefit from Pantone color accuracy.
With near-zero latency, It is also a desirable solution for television studios, Live Streams (as in stadiums) and even electronic games.
Automatic calibration born in Europe
To ensure optimal performance and color consistency at all times, the new Philips LED screens and control system will benefit from the Automatic calibration, A unique and intelligent algorithm and feature that ensures that color calibration is done only once in the European factory, after which it automatically adjusts for the life of the product, even for any panel replacement.
These Philips True Performance LED screens will also be developed to offer remote management through the Philips Wave ecosystem, delivering unparalleled screen management and content control, as well as predictive maintenance opportunities.
“We are delighted to partner with PPDS to incorporate our True Performance technology into these new Philips professional displays. Together we bring a unique proposition to the global market and are delighted to showcase these benefits at the Philips stand 3P500 at ISE 2025 in Barcelona”, Says Yury Romov, CEO of True Performance.
"In PPDS, We have taken an open approach to the way we do business. We can't do it all ourselves, and there are some technologies that, In partnership, bring greater benefits and even more choice and value to our partners and customers. The one made with True Performance adds new strengths to our two businesses and we look forward to the opportunities to come.", Adds Martijn van der Woude, Vice President of Global Marketing and Business Development at PPDS.
